Responsible Wood Sourcing
Demonstrated conservation leadership
Enviva sources its raw materials through suppliers who purchase wood from working forests and from sawmills and other wood industry manufacturers. Enviva does not source from old growth forests, protected forests, or forests that are being harvested for land use conversion. The ratios of hardwood to softwood, species mix, and wood forms (tops/limbs vs. chips vs. sawdust, etc.) vary depending on the plant and the region. Responsible Sourcing Policy & Reporting
Our RSP is the guiding principle for our global sourcing, applying to our purchases of trees and other forms of wood from forests, residues from forest products facilities, and biomass produced by other companies.

Third-Party Wood Pellet Sustainable Purchasing Practices
Our due diligence process ensures that the suppliers we work with are meeting the same high standards we would expect of our own production.
