Enviva produces wood pellets using responsible sourcing practices that keep working forests thriving, healthy, and growing. We source from landowners who intend to return their land to forest and create a market for their low-value wood. This augments the productivity of their working forests as we are purchasing the parts of the harvested wood that are generally not utilized in other higher-value markets.
In areas where we operate, we can show that forest inventory has increased after we arrive. Through ongoing landowner outreach and education, we’re also making direct investments that support third-party certifications of forestlands.
